About Me

Welcome! I'm Kayla ~ Here's a little bit of my story.

I was born and raised in Minnesota, graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout, and moved to Omaha, NE after graduation for a job. I spent two years in Omaha and then decided to take a leap of faith, trust my intuition, and take a chance on an adventure and move to Alaska. I left my job, my family, and a lot of friends in my decision to pursue this adventure. However, at the end of the day life is about taking chances, learning lessons, and impacting people, right? 

I had an idea to start a blog after deciding to move to Alaska and through this process I have developed a strong passion for putting words to paper. My goal for this platform is that it touches whomever it's meant to, whenever it's meant to. I write about my Alaskan adventures, life, and anything in-between. I hope my posts resonate with you at one point or another and I appreciate you taking the time to explore my site and share it with others.

I have also been on a holistic health journey for 11 years, and it has drastically changed my life. In the last five years, I have made significant lifestyle changes that include clean eating, eliminating toxins in my home, learning to stay in the present moment, clearing emotions, healing trauma, connecting with my intuition, and so much more.
